Polyurethane Foam Injection and the various concrete issues it can fix

Polyurethane foam injection is one of the most used tools when fixing concrete regardless of whether it is a commercial, residential or municipal concrete. The most significant reason it is used so much is that compared to other methods this method is not only cheap but also is one of the most effective ways of fixing concrete leveling issues. This is precisely why Polyurethane foam injections are sometimes also referred to as concrete raising foam or concrete lifting foam.

The way this method works is by injecting Polyurethane foam into the concrete, so first very tiny holes are drilled on the concrete now the size of the holes, and the amount of holes drilled depends on the damage and the scope of repair so if the material is being used as concrete lifting foam it will be used in a different way than if it is being used as concrete raising foam.

Polyurethane foam is injected into the concrete in two parts so when they both meet underneath the concrete in the soil, and a chemical reaction occurs which develops an expanding foam. Polyurethane foam then fills all the voids and not only does it stabilize the soil to some extent but it also makes the soil more strong/durable.

The concrete lifting foam or concrete raising foam is injected into the concrete until the desired, or preferred height of the concrete is achieved after which the holes which were drilled earlier are carefully filled with high-quality cement to perfection so no one can even say that holes were drilled on that concrete. This is actually another merit of using Polyurethane foam that the after-effects of repair are none, so no marks are left, and not many holes are required in the majority of the cases, and also the Polyurethane foam injections are very environmentally friendly, and maybe that is why governments prefer this technique over others.

Even though the chances does not reduce to zero, the concrete lifting foam structures underneath to some extent ensures that no more issues occur later on. It is important to note that Polyurethane foam injections are not something which comes out of the can and can be used immediately there are over a thousand different types of concrete raising foam and the one required depends on the damage and the extent of the damage. In fact, almost nothing is ordinary among these Polyurethane foam injections except for the fact that they are all foams which expand after being injected into the concrete.
